AirBlog

The weekly musings of AirbrushGuy & Company are now available in a Weblog entitled AirBlog. It can be seen here at BlogSpot. Spent a few minutes surfing here to learn more about the airbrush business and our company in general as well as picking up some completely useless information along the way.

New website coming soon

AirbrushGuy.com has been around since the advent of the internet. It started as a small click and build site while R. Powell was in Florida perfecting his airbrush portraits. Times have changed and so has the web.

The time has come to update once again. This time we have taken on a daunting task. We hired a contractor for this job while all other sites have been created in house. We learned quickly that even with the best contractor, if you are not in the airbrush business the changes do not make for an easy task. Many updates and attempts later and we still are not ready for a full launch. Keep checking back soon and if all goes well (or at least better than it has) we will have a new site complete with shopping cart in the near future.

Workshop Success

Saturday, May 21st we held our beginning hands on workshop for the automotive industry. Class participants learned the basics of how an airbrush works as well as the cleaning and maintenance required.

Each student began to learn about the basic strokes in a short project involving a baseball design. In creating this design the students learned lines, dots, dagger strokes and a little about shading and highlighting.

After a great lunch provided by House of Kolor and Jim Lee, we all got back to work creating a custom panel. The panel included different masking techniques, stencil creation, and various paint techniques and paint products. The finished project included flames, graphics and a Tweety bird design. These panels were sent home with each student to commemorate their first attempts.

Airbrush students were also provided with the course information and resources on how to continue their studies. After completion of this basic course, each student is invited to attend intermediate classes to be held in the future.

If you are interested in this course or others, contact us today to learn more about future classes and how to get signed up.
